How to Fish

FurnitureFish simplifies furniture search with unique product filters and it allows designers and clients to collaborate on ideas.

Designers & Clients Whether you set up an account as a professional designer or a client, functionality is the same. To keep things simple we discuss website functionality from the designer's perspective.

When adding clients to your account, you'll have the opportunity to assign them a "Project Label" if you wish.  For example, John the designer added Mary Smith to his client list and labeled her account "Lake House".

Registered users of furniturefish have the ability to create and save lookbooks and invite clients to collaborate.  Every time you add a client to your profile, a new lookbook folder is automatically created and automatically labeled for that client.

Lookbooks    When you create a new lookbook it can be saved in any one of your client folders or you can save it into a personal folder.

My FurnitureFish When logged into your account, a menu icon is located in the upper right corner of your screen which displays shortcuts to My Notifications, My Profile page and other pages.

Inviting, Linked Accounts & Collaborating

The invite function initiates lookbook collaborating.  Aside from collaborating on lookbooks, once the invite is accepted and the accounts are linked, the designer will control how a client account is handled in regards to billing and fulfillment. When an invite is accepted a chainlink icon will be displayed in the status column on the 'My Clients' page

Filters

On some category pages, filters will be enabled on the left margin.  Furiturefish has unique filters making it very easy to "fish around" for the right piece of furniture but you need to know how these unique filters work.  Mouse over the lowercase ' i ' near each filter title to open a tooltip and to better understand exactly how the filter works.

Create PDF Saved lookbooks can also be used to generate a personalized PDF sales brochure which can be downloaded to your PC at the press of a button. Designers who choose to upload logos to their profile will have their logo featured on the PDF. This method of sharing favorites is confidential and there is no mention to a brand other than your own.

Order Handling  Furniturefish does not have an online shopping cart.   If you are interested in making a purchase, buyers can click on "Request Quote" which is found at the bottom of a lookbook.  Furniturefish will contact you to discuss quantities, lead times and or purchase/order details for items listed in that lookbook.
